This bank holiday Sunday (5th May) get ready for a festival of the best tribute acts in the indie genre at Copy Crawl - which will take place from 6pm across some of the best venues in Stockton-On-Tees.

Taking place across 4 stages, this highly-anticipated festival features 12 tribute acts that pay homage to the best artists within the indie-rock genre - including Happy Mondays (by The Happy Mondaze), Sam Fender (by Sam Offender), Pulp (by Pulp’d) and many other legendary bands/musicians.

The venues hosting the 12 acts of the festival are as follows:

KU hosting Stone Roses (by The Ultimate Stone Roses), Happy Mondays (by The Happy Mondaze), and Liam Gallagher (by The Liam Gallagher Experience)

The Georgian Theatre hosting Radiohead (by Just Radiohead), Joy Division (by Transmission The Sound of Joy Division), and Manic Street Preachers (by Forever Delayed)

The Storytellers hosting Blur (by Blur 2), Pulp (by Pulp’d), and Paul Heaton (by Old Red Eyes)

The Social Room hosting King of Leon (by Kings of Lyon), Sam Fender (by Sam Offender), and The Strokes (by The UK Strokes)

The indie-lovers of Teesside - and areas beyond - cannot wait until the weekend where they will get to experience a taste of the original artists’ live performances (but for a fraction of the price). In fact, one member of the public that I spoke to about the upcoming event thinks that these tribute acts are even better than the originals - “I went to see The Liam Gallagher Experience back in 2022 with my wife.. It was absolutely brilliant, so I’m glad that all of these tributes are being brought to one place to support my hometown’s growing music scene, I’ll definitely be there!”

Whether you’re looking to see one act in particular, or just wanting to pick n mix from the plethora of gigs happening across Stockton town centre - Copy Crawl is the musical event that you do not want to miss this bank holiday Sunday. Tickets are £17.50 for entry into all 4 venues, and are available for purchase either in advance (online) or on the door from box offices located at KU and The Georgian Theatre.
