The outstanding gardens at Tudor Croft on Guisborough’s Stokesley Road will be open to the public once again over the coming weeks.
There will be home-grown plants for sale, home-made teas, and prosecco, and the open will raise funds for the Kids Kabin charity.
This year, Tudor Croft owners Mike and Gel Heagney have decided to change the garden openings to May and early June, which will offer a treat for those who love the flowers of late spring, such as rhododendrons.
This weekend, May 25 and 26, the gardens will be open, with music and song on the lawns to accompany afternoon tea. On Saturday, there will be three of Paula Odell’s choirs, with all of them performing together for a grand finale. Sunday will be a quieter day without music, the soundtrack coming from birdsong.
The gardens open again on the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, June 8 and 9. On both days, the Lavender Mob, Mike Gutteridge and Frank Porter will entertain with 1930s and 40s songs. On Sunday, they will be joined by the Teesside Wind Band.
The gardens will be open from 11am to 4pm and entry will be £10, with children free. All proceeds will go to Kids Kabin, which provides creative opportunities for young people in Middlesbrough.
