Ruby Lodge Care Home, set to open this year in Thirsk, has sponsored a race at Thirsk Racecourse's season opener event, with Holly Hunton, the Home Manager, representing it at the event as part of preparations for the home's approaching open day.
Holly said: "The event was wonderful despite the rain. I was joined by local businesses such as Andrea Brazil, Home manager for Rowan Court, Sarah Gill – Teacher/business development organiser – at Thirsk High School, and Rob Rolls – Director of Community works. All of whom have been some of the wonderful supporters of Ruby Lodge Care Home in our build-up to our opening day."
‘We were so well looked after by the team at Thirsk Racecourse, and it was an honour to watch ‘Sea the Dream’ win the Ruby Lodge Care Home Race. At the races, we were able to walk through the paddocks to see the horses before their races, award the winning horse of our sponsored race, and meet the owners.
"Seeing Ruby Lodge feature on boards, screens, and announcements throughout the day added to the anticipation for our opening. We can’t wait to see what the future holds.
Ruby Lodge will be home to up to sixty-nine people, with residential and specialist dementia care across three floors. From the moment you step across the threshold, you’ll be embraced by its warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Holly added: "Our team is here to support you through the process of finding a care home for yourself or a loved one and make that transition of moving into a care home as smooth as possible."
