Football is coming home in Darlington this summer as Darlington Market confirms it will be screening all England games at the Euros 2024.

Two screens are set to be erected at the Street Food Hall to show off the Three Lions in all their glory at the highly-anticipated UEFA tournament later this month.

The events will provide a “relaxed, family-friendly environment” for those wanting to avoid the hustle and bustle of sports bars in the town across the football fixtures.

Street Food Traders are poised to be offering “delicious bites” during the events - with a ‘grab a pint and a bite for £10’ offer promised so punters can enjoy a pint of Poretti or cider with an item off a food stall’s Euro menu.

Dates and times for the three games are as follows:

Serbia vs. England - Sunday 16th June (8pm)

Denmark vs. England - Thursday 20th June (5pm)

Slovenia vs. England - Tuesday 25th June (8pm)

The news comes just days after Darlington bar Avalon confirmed it would be returning to the town so punters can embrace football fever, just months after closing the doors.

There is, of course, plenty of other large-scale events taking place across the North East so footy fans can watch England (hopefully) beat off the competition in Germany.

Events company Central Park will be bringing the Times Square Fanzone, in Newcastle, back and will also be hosting a new events space in Sunderland - Keel Edge, near the City Hall.
