A 'Jazz Train' will travel through the Yorkshire Dales later this month, as it sets off for just £22 a ticket.
The Jazz Train returns to Wensleydale Railway for an evening of music in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support later this month, with plenty of entertainment planned.
As well as music from the Swale Valley Stompers Jazz Band, there will be a charity fundraising raffle and auction of promises in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
Guests are invited to bring their own picnic and prosecco to enjoy on the trip to Leyburn.
The fun begins on Saturday, June 22 at 6.30pm at Leeming Bar station with music and dancing on the platform, before the train leaves at 7.30pm for a round trip to Leyburn.
The band will play on board the train and also at Leyburn station.
This evening event is close to Midsummer’s Day and will show Wensleydale at its best in the late daylight.
The railway aims to run buses from both Osmotherley (via band member Peter Edmonds) and Thirsk.
Bus tickets cost £8 return (minimum numbers required)
Tickets for the event cost £22. Go here for more information and to book.
