Two brave charity fundraisers took on a tandem skydive.

Ann Fothergill, from Bedale, and Liz Sheldon, from Spennithorne, took on the challenge in memory of Ann's son Thomas, who died from cancer at the age of 31.

For Liz, it was a long-held bucket list ambition ticked off, but Ann had to overcome her fear of heights.

The first date booked was cancelled at the very last minute due to unforeseen circumstances, so another date was chosen for three weeks later.

Their efforts raised a grand total of £5,500.61 for Cancer Research UK.

Ann said: "A huge thank you to everyone who donated, it is very much appreciated."
