A visitor to Brimham Rocks had to be helped back to the ground by fell rescue volunteers after she became 'crag-fast' and unable to move.
Members of Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue used ropes to get the adult female off the rocks at the popular National Trust visitor spot at Summerbridge, near Harrogate yesterday (Sunday).
A spokesperson for the Grassington-based Upper Wharfedale Fell Rescue Association (UWFRA) said: "We contacted Brimham to let them know that we would have members arriving and checked that the casualty was okay before advising them to stay put and await our arrival.
"Once the team were with the casualty they made them safe before setting up a rope system to lower them down to safe ground.
"We hope the lady is none the worse for her experience and enjoyed the rest of her visit."
