A family charity event to raise money for the recuperation of jockey Graham Lee is set to take place next weekend.
Graham, from Bedale, North Yorkshire, became unseated from his horse Ben Macdui at Newcastle in November last year, suffering an unstable cervical fracture and damaging his spinal cord.
The fundraising event will take place at Sharp Hill Farm, Middleham, on Sunday, July 14, with activities starting at 3pm and expected to carry on late into the evening.
The event will include both adult and children's entertainment such as live music, disco, a big screen showing of the Wimbledon tennis final and the Euros final, a hog roast, bar, and a children's area featuring a bouncy castle and rodeo bull among others.
Also planned are a penalty shoot-out competition, raffle, tombola, and a small auction.
For ticket reservations, interested parties are advised to get in touch with Nicky McGrath on 077625-12151
Tickets are priced at £25 for adults, £15 for children while under fives are allowed free entry that includes a complimentary hog roast.
Mrs McGrath has also issued bank details for convenient payment into the following account: Mrs N J McGrath; sort code 20-25-29; account number 73465225.
Mr Lee, 48, was a highly successful jump jockey, based in the north of England for most of his career, winning the 2004 Grand National on board Amberleigh House.
He switched to riding on the flat in 2014, where he achieved more success, including winning the Ascot Gold Cup on Trip To Paris in 2015.
Proceeds from the event are expected to contribute significantly to Mr Lee's ongoing recovery.
