Police are appealing for witnesses and the owner of a vehicle to come forward after cars were damaged during an incident in Colburn.

Officers said the disturbance happened on Peppermint Drive at about 8.50pm on Sunday, June 30 and left two vehicles parked on the road damaged.

The owner of one vehicle has been identified however the owner and details of the second vehicle are unknown as the vehicle left the scene prior to police arrival.

A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "We’re appealing for the owner of the second vehicle to contact us so that further enquiries can be made.

"Alternatively, we’re appealing to anyone who has information about the second damaged vehicle so we can try and identify the owner.

A man in his 20s was arrested at the scene of the incident and has been released on conditional bail to allow for further enquiries to be carried out.
