Police are investigating a series of thefts from vehicles in North Yorkshire villages.
Officers have issued CCTV images of a man and a car they want to trace following thefts from vehicles and attempts to enter vehicles in Brompton-on-Swale, East Cowton and Melsonby, near Richmond.
The incidents were reported between June 29 and July 14.
The man is described as having his face covered and wearing dark clothing.
The vehicle is described as a black Audi A4 estate, possibly a 2012 plate, with distinctive alloy wheels.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "If you can help us identify the car or the man, please email IET@northyorkshire.police.uk quoting reference 12240118013, or call 101, select option two and ask for the Initial Enquiry Team.
"If you wish to remain anonymous, you can pass information to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
Giving security advice, the spokesperson added: "Thieves will take any opportunity they can to steal your things. Please make it as hard as possible by always locking your car, removing valuables or hiding them from view, using a garage if you have one, not leaving your car keys where a burglar can find them easily, and parking in well-lit areas."
