In total, 163 children got involved, battling it out for prizes such as The Biggest Fundraiser and Most Innovative Fundraising Idea, with activities including a bake sale and charity football match.

They collectively raised £7,090 and chose to donate £1,000 to Dementia Forward.

Staff and students visited Dementia Forward’s Richmond Hub, Garget Walker House, to present the cheque, where they met the Hub Club members to see the positive impact that intergenerational collaboration and community support can have.

Looking ahead, Richmond Methodist Primary School is enthusiastic about continuing its partnership with Dementia Forward throughout 2024 and 2025.

"We are so grateful for the school’s support and excited to continue this partnership – and also in awe of the children’s incredible fundraising skills."
