A RURAL development expert is to address North Yorkshire farmers at a meeting organised by a local MP.
Anne McIntosh, the Vale of York MP, has invited Helen Owens, who is part of the Yorkshire Forward Rural Development Programme, to attend.
Also set to speak is Richard Taylor, the director of corporate affairs at Morrisons supermarkets.
The meeting is at Thirsk Rural Business Centre from 11.30am on Thursday, September 25.
Miss McIntosh said: "It will be a very good opportunity for local farmers to have their concerns heard, regarding numerous rural and farming issues, such as supermarket prices and competition and also to hear about the role of Yorkshire Forward and the services they can provide."
