TWO people were injured when their microlight plane crashed into a hedge when taking off in North Yorkshire.
The men were taking off from Baxby Air Sports Club, Husthwaite, near Thirsk, when their craft hit a wet patch slowing it down.
This meant the plane could not reach take off speed and it ran into a hedge at the end of the runway.
Both men on the plane were experienced pilots from North Yorkshire and were members of the club.
They were taken to York District Hospital, one by air ambulance, with minor injuries after the accident around 1.30pm today.
