ASPIRING young footballers from across the North-East are being given the chance to take their skills to new heights - courtesy of the RAF.
Royal Air Force Careers, in partnership with English Schools Football Association is hosting a free development clinic at the Leeming airbase on Septemnber 23.
It includes expert tuition from the RAF who will share tips and advice with over 90 youngsters aged between 14 and 16.
They will also learn about motivation, team-building and making the most of their talent.
Flight Lieutenant Steve Booth, who coordinates the RAF's motivational outreach teams in the region, said: "It's great to see young people getting involved in sport and at the same time learning interpersonal and teamwork skills that will set them up for life.
"These clinics provide a fantastic opportunity for young players to get quality football coaching, and learn new team working and communication skills from the RAF personnel."
There will also be an opportunity for young people to meet RAF staff and talk to them about what life is like working in the service.
