PayByPhone, an app for finding the cheapest fuel, EV charging locations and parking payments, gives you its top 10 UK destinations - including the North York Moors.

Within the list, the national park is praised for its walks, cycling routes, nature, and stunning landscapes.

Ranking in ninth place on the list, PayByPhone says: "While the crowds head to the Lake District, check out this hidden gem instead.

"The North York Moors National Park has one of the largest expanses of heather moorland in the UK, making it a place of beauty and tranquillity – perfect for a visit to reset and recharge.

"It’s the driest upland area in the country, perfect for walks, coastal hikes to fossil hunt, glamping and camping and other outdoor adventures."

Alongside the North York Moors, The Cotswolds, Brighton, Blackpool, Bournemouth, and the Isle of Wight feature on the top 10 UK destinations for the Bank Holiday.
