A breed of sheep branded as the cutest in the world will be on sale in North Yorkshire this weekend - here's all the details.
The Northern Stars Show and Sale at CCM Auction in Skipton will this weekend (September 1) be selling the Valais Blacknose Sheep which originate from Switzerland.
Eighty sheep of the "gorgeous" breed which have a cute and friendly nature and are used for both meat and wool will be on sale.
The breed has also gained notoriety in recent years thanks to ownership from Jeremy Clarkson who acquired a small flock.
Everything from castrated males to lambs will be on sale including two Spitti lambs which have a genetic anomaly whereby their colours are reversed.
Katie Collin of the Northern Valais Blacknose Club said: "We are so excited to hold this show and sale at Skipton for the second year. The popularity of the sheep keeps growing and growing.
"We have some fantastic breeders here in the UK who are keen to help and encourage people new to the breed."
Spectators are said to be welcome at the show which will begin at 9.30am and see the lambs judged by Jenni Macallister, one of the original importers of Valais Blacknose Sheep, who appeared with her partner Raymond Irving on This Farming Life.
The sale will then begin at 11.30am and will be one of the biggest sell offs of the breed to take place in the UK to date.
