A community choir is welcoming new members as it starts its autumn rehearsals.
The Station Singers, based in Richmond, has three different choirs who join together to give two concerts a year in December and April.
Led by Carol Gedye, the choirs meet weekly to rehearse and enjoy singing together.
The group has a long-standing commitment to supporting local charities and over the years has raised thousands of pounds for local causes.
"At our December concert 2024 we are working with the Friends of St Mary’s Church to help to raise funds towards improved disabled access," said a spokesperson. "We welcome established and new members as we start autumn rehearsals. There is no audition process and we offer a free taster session to all new singers."
The Platform 1 choir for mixed voices meets at The Station at 9.30am on Wednesday, September 18, while Platform 2, also for mixed voices, meets at 11.15am in the same venue. The Branch Line choir for women’s voices meets on Thursday, September 19 at the Town Hall at 7.45pm, but with social time from 7pm.
