Darlington was taken over by nuns yesterday afternoon who were out on the town promoting Sister Act which begins its stint at the theatre tonight.
The habit was out in full force in Darlington town centre on September 10 promoting Sister Act which is on at the Hippodrome until September 14.
The actresses, dressed in full costume and in character, took a tour of the town including in the Cornmill Centre, High Row, and then stopped at Babul's on Bondgate.
In HMV, the group had a laugh and joked about finding Sister Act and riffed about Magic Mike on DVD.
The cast, which has been touring the UK, stars Coronation Street and theatre legend Wendi Peters as Mother Superior and West End star Landi Oshinowo as Deloris.
The new stage adaptation, like the film, is a comedy production that follows the life of Deloris who is hidden in a convent under witness protection after witnessing a murder.
Tickets are still available for the show which is set to open tonight (September 11) with prices starting at £17.50.
