New aerial photos have shown off progress at a “luxurious” new housing development in Darlington.
County Durham housebuilder Homes by Esh - which is a part of Esh Group - is currently building a collection of four, five and six-bedroom properties at Havelock Park, near Blackwell.
The development - which is one of the firm’s most high-profile sites - has been designed with “quality, sustainability, and luxury” in mind and will feature the “very finest fixtures and fittings to cutting edge technology”.
Nestled in the grounds of Blackwell Grange, Havelock Park is described as a “haven of peace and tranquillity” - with homes expected to hit the market this autumn.
Now, the latest drone shots of the development have revealed how the site is taking shape, with house foundations visibly in the ground and roads starting to take shape.
Homes by Esh says it has “gone to great lengths to help local plant life and wildlife thrive” at the site - accessible off Carmel Road South - and “understood the important responsibility to prioritise the restoration of the area’s surrounding parkland”.
The development’s pond, known as the Balancing Pond, has been restored as well as log piles strategically placed for habitats.
A new community orchard will also provide residents with the opportunity to pick and enjoy fresh fruit during the summer.
A safe school/pedestrian route has also been established from Grange Road to the pond area, as well as from the mown walkway to the Community Orchard.
