Detectives investigating the alleged rape of a woman in a Middlesbrough park have arrested a local man in connection with the incident.
Cleveland Police said the 30-year-old suspect was transported to police custody following his arrest and he is now undergoing questioning (Saturday September 14).
The arrest comes after a report was made over the alleged incident in Albert Park, at 4am, on Wednesday (September 11).
A woman involved is said to be receiving support from specially trained officers.

Police attended the park after the report was made on Wednesday and the area around the central fountain was cordoned off as crime scene investigators conducted inquiries.
Anyone who may have information, CCTV or dash cam footage that could assist police with their investigation is asked to contact Cleveland Police on 101 quoting reference number 175064.
