A family-owned business has opened a new showroom as it prepares to expand in North Yorkshire.

Hill Cross Furniture unveiled its new premises as Rishi Sunak, Conservative MP for Richmond and Northallerton, conducted a ribbon-cutting ceremony and welcomed guests into the new showroom, which is based on the family farm at North Cowton near Northallerton.

Mr Sunak said: “Hill Cross is an impressive operation. It is based in a very rural location but its customer base is global.

It’s a real milestone as we look forward to celebrating our 25th anniversary next February.

“Our goal is to deliver beautiful furniture and excellent service across all the sectors we operate in and the new showroom will support this by allowing our clients to see our extensive range of furniture in person and meet our team.

“We are well known for the extensive range of quality furniture supplied alongside our exceptional project management and installation service.

"We are experiencing exciting growth which will see us expand into new sectors and we’re looking for new talent to join us due to new project wins.”
