Painted rocks from a popular farm attraction have been donated for a care home sensory garden.
Mount Vale care home in Northallerton, run by national care provider Barchester Healthcare, is fundraising for the sensory garden, with wheelchair-friendly raised planters and a water feature which will be used by residents, families and the local community.
Monk Park Farm, near Thirsk, has been attempting to break the Guinness world record by creating the world’s longest caterpillar with stones decorated by families and children.
Unfortunately, even with all their hard work, they were just shy of the record, but the farm still wanted to put them to good use.
Trudi Gillespie, general manager of Mount Vale, said: “What a kind donation of these amazing rocks, they are so spectacular and are a great addition into our sensory garden.”
