Rightmove: The Grange nightclub in Darlington up for sale

The Grange, on Wellington Court Mews, off Grange Road, revealed at the start of August that would be closing with "immediate effect" after its owners stepped away from the venue - saying that "lots of memories" had been made at The Grange. 

In the online statement at the time, owners Gayle Summersall and David Storer noted that, due to retirement and another business partner wanting to close the bar, The Grange wouldn't be re-opening its doors.

Noted as a place for local nightlife in Darlington, the place was famed for its outside bar, three-floor nightclub and bar, while also running a range of events from cocktail classes to Christmas wreath making.

Now, the former bar and nightclub venue has been listed on Rightmove with Darlington estate agents Carver Commercial. 

Listing the property for £450,000, it has been described as a place that could "suit a variety of business uses" and an "investment opportunity".

Within the sale, the Vincent Owen Hairdressing building is also up for sale within the £450,000 - but it's understood that the current tenants in the hairdressing building will remain.
