A cinema has officially reopened, with customers given a first glimpse of the new venue after several months of renovation.

Savoy Cinemas, who have resurrected the old Empire venue on Princes Gate Shopping Park on Richmond Road, Catterick Garrison opened on Friday (September 27) with a fresh look.

The cinema's reopening coincides with the release of some of the year’s most anticipated movies including the Joker sequel, Joker: Folie à Deux, starring Joaquin Phoenix and Lady Gaga, along with Transformers One, The Wild Robot and Venom: The Last Dance - all set to hit the screen in October.

"We have a dedicated team eager to deliver the Savoy experience to the people of Catterick and the surrounding areas."
