A concert featuring Reeth Brass Band, The Pearls and the Arkengarthdale Community Hub Pop-Up Choir will support the Pinktober appeal in aid of Cancer Research UK.
The concert, on Friday, October 11 at 7.30pm in Grinton Church, will include a diverse programme of songs and music that will span the decades.
Tickets cost £7.50, to include refreshments, and are available from King Street Kitchen & Gift in Richmond, Reeth Post Office and The Red Lion in Langthwaite.
There will also be a raffle at the concert. Pinktober is a month-long fundraising campaign which is spearheaded by June Ashton and her family whose daughter Helen died from cancer aged 13.
Helen’s mother June has been tirelessly raising funds for Cancer Research UK in Helen’s memory. For a second year, June, with the support of the community, is running pink-themed events throughout October. From the Olympinks to all-night Zumbathons, fashion shows to concerts, there is something for everyone.
Local businesses and members of the public are supporting Pinktober to help raise awareness of Cancer Research UK’s vital work.
