Two young soloists delivered an impressive showcase of their talents in a charity concert organised by Joan and John Foster.
Soprano Hannah Yeadon and pianist Tegan Addison performed a wide repertoire of works from composers including Handel and Haydn to Gershwin and Gurney for an enthusiastic audience at Northallerton Parish Church.
Hannah sang from an early age at Aysgarth Church choir and in Cantabile, the Wensleydale School choir. As a university student, she was a member of the Sage Chamber Choir and now sings with the Alverton Singers in Northallerton and with the Swale Singers.
Tegan, a former pupil of Yarm School, is about to begin her second year at St John’s College, Oxford. In addition to her piano studies, she has a strong interest in song writing and was recently placed second in the Oxford University Kendrew Songwriting Competition.
The concert raised funds for the Northallerton School Foundation, which supports students and ex-students experiencing financial or other barriers and helps them gain life skills. It also aids students in the transition between school and further and higher education.
