A popular North Yorkshire coffee shop with a 4.5/5 star rating on Tripadvisor has been put on the market for £495,000.
The Coffee Shop, in Osmotherley, is listed by estate agents Ernest Wilson & Co.
Ernest Wilson & Co said: "Truly a picture postcard worthy property in an affluent and highly desirable North Yorkshire village, on the edge of the North Yorkshire National Park."
The village, popular among tourists and day visitors, is frequented by hikers, cyclists and dog walkers.
The agents said: "The coffee shop provides an atmospheric hub for people to meet for coffee and enjoy a bite to eat.
"It has outdoor seating directly overlooking the village crossroads and provides truly attractive, warm and comfortable internal seating areas."
The business is reported to have weekly takings of between £4,000 and £5,000, despite being open only five days a week.
There is potential to expand the business by introducing an evening bistro, which could attract visitors and Airbnb residents.
Estate agents added: "The excellent performance of this idyllic coffee shop enables the owners to close and take two months off each year, leaving a further opportunity for energetic and ambitious new owners to increase annual turnover."
The premises is a freehold period cottage property.
The ground floor of the property accommodates the cafe with seating for 18 customers, an intimate snug lounge area with a stone hearth fireplace, and a sales counter with a back bar beverage prep counter and glass-fronted display chillers.
The first floor hosts a pot-wash area and prep room for cake and food prep, alongside ample storage for dry and chilled goods.
The property also includes a modern, fully fitted kitchen, an open plan living room and dining area, a washroom, and a large attic double bedroom with a full en-suite bathroom.
A private walled garden and a stone-built garage complete the property, which was refurbished in 2022.
A recent Tripadvisor review of the cafe praised the 'wonderful' venue. "It's warm and inviting. The staff are attentive and friendly. And the food is the best I've had from a coffee shop," a reviewer said.
"Such high quality ingredients and cooked perfectly. Such a varied choice and really good coffee too."
