A man has pleaded guilty to sexually assaulting a woman in Darlington during the summer months.
Mohammed Mohammed made the admission during a short hearing at Teesside Crown Court and was warned that he is facing a custodial sentence for the offence.
A judge heard how the 23-year-old has no previous convictions and the case was adjourned for sentence next month.
Mohammed, of no fixed abode, pleaded guilty to assault by penetration following an incident on July 27 this year.
Judge Francis Laird KC remanded the defendant in custody until his sentence on November 11.
He said: “You should expect a prison sentence for this offence. The length of that will be determined by the sentencing judge.”
