Police are investigating after a man was seen with a weapon in Guisborough on Wednesday, October 16.
The incident happened at about 10.10am on Union Street.
Police were called and told a man was walking along the street with a weapon.
Nobody was injured but officers remained in the area while an investigation was carried out.
A Cleveland Police spokesperson said: "Officers were called following reports a man was seen with a weapon on Union Street in Guisborough on October 16 at around 10.10am.
"No one was believed to have been injured. Officers will remain visible in the area whilst they continue to conduct their enquiries.
"Anyone with information is urged to contact us on 101, quoting reference number 198348."
