A County Durham Christmas event will be staged later this year by the same organisers who have run a successful string of events for the last six months.

The Middleton-in-Teesdale Farmers' Market was created by organiser Naomi Katze in May this year for locals and traders from Cumbria, North Yorkshire, Northumberland and County Durham - specialising in  food, the farm and the farmhouse kitchen.

Stalls range from meat, cheese and milk to bread, fruit and veg, cakes and savoury bakes.

Middleton-in-Teesdale Farmers' Market to hold Christmas event:

As attentions turn to the end of the year, the next Middleton-in-Teesdale Farmers Market is Saturday (October 26) between 9am and 1pm, before another event on November 23 and December 21 between 10am and 2pm.

Naomi said: "I'd like to say a personal thank you to everyone who has supported me in my new venture.

"They put their trust in me to deliver and put together a traditional Farmer's Market. I'm very grateful for the public's support for them coming and buying from all the wonderful traders every month.

"But also to the traders for being the best part of our fabulous Farmers Market, we can't do it without them."

The Christmas Market in December will welcome traders, including farmers/butchers, cheesemakers, fish and seafood, two bread bakers, cakes, baked, pies, pastries, as well as l honey, jams, marmalades, pickles, sauces, beers, ciders, spirits, coffee, and hot chocolate.

The markets take place on the last Saturday of each month at Middleton Mart Buildings on The Bank in Middleton-in-Teesdale, DL12 0PG. The markets will close for January and February 2025 but will return in March.
