A special festive concert is being held later this month in aid of the Friends of the Friarage Eye Appeal.

Musicality, with conductor Andrea Rhodes and accompanist Gillian Ash, will perform at All Saints’ Parish Church in Northallerton on Saturday, November 30 at 2pm.

There will be traditional carols, seasonal songs and festive fun, all raising funds for the charity's Eye Appeal, which is trying to raise £200,000 to buy equipment for vireo-retinal (VR) surgery for Friarage Hospital's new surgical hub.

At present, patients from Hambleton and Richmondshire needing eye surgery have to travel to the University Hospital of James Cook in Middlesbrough for treatment.

Tickets for the concert, priced £10, £7 for concessions (under 18, over 65, and unwaged), and £3 for under fives are available from 07876 705550, the Friends of the Friarage shop, on the ground floor of the hospital or on the door.

Donations to support the appeal can also be made directly at www.justgiving.com/campaign/EyeAppeal2024.
