A school 'loved by students and parents' is to become part of an education trust later this week, joining nine other schools across North Yorkshire.
On Friday (November 1), Broomfield Primary School in Northallerton will become part of the Areté Learning Trust.
Areté runs nine other schools, including Northallerton School and Sixth Form, Stokesley School, Richmond School, and schools in the North York Moors, the Yorkshire Dales, and York.
In a statement, a spokesperson for the Areté Learning Trust said: "We are looking forward to working with headteacher Fiona Sharp and the team at Broomfield to support the school and community strive for excellence so that every child is inspired and enabled to be the best they can be.
"Broomfield Primary School is a friendly school loved by students and parents alike.
"Recently, they marked their 50th anniversary with celebrations to recognise the half-century of educational services the school has provided to the community.
"They now welcome a brand-new chapter in their history as they join the Areté Learning Trust."
Broomfield is on half-term this week, so the partnership with the trust will start when staff and pupils return on Monday (November 4).
The spokesperson for the trust added: "As a trust, we are united in a common purpose to ensure all learners leave our schools strengthened by our values and aspirations and prepared to face the next challenge in their learning, personal and social development.
"Our schools work together, share expertise and maximise efficiency and effectiveness across the MAT for the benefit of all.
"Broomfield will be the tenth school to join the trust and as our community grows, so too does our ambition to deliver the highest standard of education and support to ensure every young person enjoys their learning journey in our schools and has real choices for the future."
