A Guisborough farmer has been left 'devastated' after a fire this morning killed livestock and destroyed equipment.
In the early hours of Friday (November 1), Cleveland Fire Brigade rushed to a devastating scene at a farm in Margrove Park, Guisborough.
The blaze resulted in the loss of a substantial number of livestock, about 600 bales of hay, two sheds and equipment including a tractor and digger.
A spokesperson for Cleveland Fire Brigade said: "The owner has been left devastated by the loss, and we extend our thoughts and sympathies to them during this difficult time."
Firefighters from Coulby Newham, Guisborough, Redcar, Saltburn and Skelton including all On-Call crews were on the scene and worked to bring the fire under control and protect surrounding areas.
Cleveland Fire Brigade have confirmed that an investigation will be conducted to determine the cause of the incident.
