A woman was arrested after shouting abuse at two buskers playing in Northallerton.
Police are now appealing for information and want to hear from anyone who has witnessed anything similar.
The incident took place at about 1pm on Sunday, October 27, on the High Street, and involved a woman who was shouting abuse at two buskers who were playing at the corner of Zetland Street and the High Street.
A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police said: "The victims were not injured. However police are concerned that this behaviour may be part of a wider pattern or campaign of abuse.
"A 31-year-old woman was arrested at the time and has been bailed with conditions.
"We’re particularly appealing for information about the nature of what was said, the attitude of the suspect, or if you have seen a woman in the area behave in a similar way to the victims in the past.
