A popular department store has unveiled its magical and festive window display to shoppers as the countdown to Christmas begins.
On Friday (November 1), those who attended Barkers on Northallerton High Street got the first glimpse of the shop's Christmas window, showcasing its range of goods and creative wintery designs.
As part of the unveiling, Barkers had a full event, which saw people gather outside the window on Friday at 4pm, with the event also streamed live on its YouTube page.
The store offered mulled wine and hot chocolates so people could stay warm while watching the winter display unveiling.
Before the Friday event, the special window display was kept under wraps with a big red sign that displayed the message 'We're working on something enchanting'.
And enchanting it is, as the new Christmas display features a tree made purely from books, as well as a section of the window which is called 'the enchanting tree'.
