A man in his 60s has been arrested following an incident in Darlington over the weekend.
Police say they were called to reports of a "public order incident" on Fulthorpe Avenue just before 9pm on Saturday (November 16).
A man, aged 68, was arrested in connection with the incident but has been released while an investigation begins.
No details about what is alleged to have taken place have been revealed.
A police statement reads: "Police were called shortly before 9pm on Saturday (November 16) to reports of a public order incident on Fulthorpe Avenue, Darlington.
"Officers attended and arrested a 68-year-old man in connection with the incident.
"He has since been released under investigation while further enquiries are carried out."
