A popular Darlington tapas bar is “looking forward to seeing customers old and new” as it reopens the doors following a refurbishment.
Sol Tapas will be welcoming hungry customers back to its Duke Street restaurant once again from Friday, November 22, after being closed since early October.
The Spanish restaurant has promised that old favourites will be back on the menu, with a Christmas menu also available very soon.
Sol Tapas has been a feature on Duke Street for 13 years, boasting a 4.5 star rating for its “top quality” tapas and "second to none" service.
The re-launched venue will be run by the same owners and “excellent” long-term chef alongside a new management team, following the departure of former manager Zika Nada.
As previously reported, the restaurant closed after the premises licence was allegedly revoked and the electricity supply cut off.
Its former manager initially announced "with regret and sadness" that it would be closing - but hours later it was confirmed that Sol Tapas would remain open under new management, once the issues had been resolved.
A new chapter will be marked at Sol Tapas from Friday, with the owners saying: “We’re looking forward to seeing customers old and new.
“There will be old favourites back on the menu, and upstairs will be back open for party bookings. Our Christmas menu will also be available soon!”
An online booking system is also due to be up and running next week, which will deliver tapas and cocktails direct to the comfort of your own home.
