A man has been arrested following two "knifepoint robberies" in Darlington.
Police were called to the Sainsbury's store on Corporation Road on both November 13 and December 1 after reports of two robberies - both where staff were "threatened with a knife".
The November incident saw two men enter the shop before allegedly taking cash, cigarettes, alcohol, and energy drinks and making off in the direction of Branksome Terrace.
The incident earlier this week reportedly saw a man threaten staff just after 10pm, before taking cash from the till and fleeing.
Today (December 4), Durham Constabulary has confirmed that a 29-year-old man in connection with both of the incidents.
He has been taken into police custody where he will be questioned by officers.
As of December 2, the store has remained open as normal.
Police previously said they would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident or saw a man acting suspiciously in the area at the time.
