As the festive season approaches, Northallerton is set to transform into a hub of holiday cheer with a line-up of Christmas events.
From twinkling lights to bustling markets, the market town promises memorable experiences for all ages.
Northallerton Christmas and winter events schedule revealed:
Northallerton Christmas Event
The heart of Northallerton will come alive with its annual Christmas Event on December 8 from 11am until 4pm, an occasion brimming with holiday spirit.
Visitors can expect a variety of attractions, including festive market stalls offering unique gifts and delicious treats. Street entertainers and live music will also feature at the event, alongside festive rides
Children can enjoy activities, including the chance to meet Santa Claus himself, spreading magic and wonder among young ones.
Christmas Tree Festival
The Christmas Tree Festival at All Saints Church in Northallerton, which will take place between December 6 and 8, is a breathtaking celebration of festive creativity.
Marvel at a stunning array of beautifully decorated Christmas trees while enjoying performances from local musicians and groups.
The event also supports local charities, with refreshments available for visitors. This free-entry festival is the perfect way to embrace the community spirit of the season, combining festive charm with meaningful contributions to good causes.

Christmas Tractor Parade and Market: A Unique Festive Tradition
A highlight of the season, the Christmas Tractor Parade and Market showcases a mix of rural charm and festive flair on Saturday, December 14 from 6pm until 8pm.
Decorated tractors, adorned with sparkling lights, will parade through the High Street, creating a spectacle that’s both unique and heartwarming.
Before the parade, visitors can explore a special Christmas market featuring local artisans, craftspeople, and food vendors.
It’s an excellent opportunity to pick up one-of-a-kind gifts and indulge in seasonal delicacies. The parade’s joyful atmosphere is bound to bring smiles to faces young and old.
This is an open event for the public as a fundraiser towards the North Yorkshire County Agriculture Show with a percentage also being donated to support Mental Health for Farmers.
In conjunction with the events, Northallerton Town Council is seeking feedback on what people want to see in 2025 in the town during the festive period.
A spokesperson from Northallerton Town Council said “Our team loves organising our Christmas event and seeing the happy faces of those who attend. We would equally relish collaborating with other organisations to ensure we reach as many people as possible with festive celebrations in Northallerton, whilst supporting local businesses”
