A WALK to hear the dawn chorus takes place on Sunday along the Tees.

It starts at 5.30am at Broken Scarr picnic area in Darlington and ends with breakfast at the organic farm café in Piercebridge.

Similar walks to hear the birds in full early morning song will take place throughout the country, organised by the Wildlife Trust for International Dawn Chorus Day.

The Darlington walk, run by the borough council countryside team, covers five miles at a leisurely pace. Transport back to the start is not provided.
