A SPECTACULAR sound and light show will launch the Tees Valley’s newest landmark structure.
The £15m Infinity Bridge, at Stockton, will be officially opened on Thursday night with an exciting programme which ends with a huge firework display.
The footbridge spans the River Tees, linking the North Shore development with the Teesdale area of Thornaby.
The event will also launch the Infinity Spring Festival, which is to become an annual event.
Tees Valley Regeneration director of development Richard Buckley said: “The bridge is a spectacular sight and is truly symbolic of the ambitious regeneration plans in place for the Tees Valley.
“The fact that the bridge has already been shortlisted for several awards says it all and we invite the people to come and celebrate such a fantastic achievement with us.”
Festivities will kick off at 8pm, with the firework finale at 9.30pm.
