A YOUNG farmer is aiming for modelling glory by beating 300 entrants to be named as Britain’s Sexiest Farmer.
Anna Simpson, 25, of Windy Hill Farm, at Hutton Rudby, near Stokesley, North Yorkshire, is in the running for the Farmers Weekly national competition.
She is one of ten finalists with five of each sex from which one male and one female winner will be drawn.
The winners are those finalists which have the most votes cast for them by fans of the entrants.
Miss Simpson, who won Miss Newcastle in 2007, said: "I want to show everyone that farming is not just men, muck and wellies, but is much, much more.
"I saw the competition and I thought I’d give it a go and I was short-listed which was brilliant.
"I was quite surprised I got through as there were so many good entries and I’m really happy I still in it.
"The winner gets £200 but I think the title alone would be a great thing to have."
The sales adviser for Green Farm Health in Northallerton and Thirsk, was joined in entering by her older sister Jacky Simpson.
Unfortunately the elder of the two did not make it through to the final five entrants.
The voting lines close on January 22 and to vote for Miss Simpson visit www.fwi.co.uk or use the coupon in Farmers Weekly.
