A BOWLING club celebrated the end of the season with a meal and awarding of the club’s trophies.
Leyburn Bowling Club who play in the JSW League finished the season in second place.
At the annual presentation night held at The Friar's Head, Akebar, a dinner was enjoyed by 30 members and friends. Following the meal the club trophies were presented to the winners. The Jack Robinson Shield was held jointly by Hazel Derby, Bob Doig and Peter Walker.
Chris Hassall won the Barclay Trophy.
Jack Ellis Cup was given to John Gorman and the Walker Cup to Hazel Derby.
The Wilk John Cup went to Peter Nicholas, with the Tyson Cup jointly to Ann Steggles and John Gorman who also won the Todd Trophy. The Phil Barnet Trophy, for services given to the club during 2012, went to Martin Bradford.
