Sir, - With regard to the Hambleton parking controversy, I recently read a newspaper article by John Humphrys (Daily Mail, April 19) which seemed somewhat relevant. It was about common sense.
In the article he quoted a passage from a book by James Surowiecki entitled The Wisdom Of Crowds.
He wrote "one individual - however much an expert he may be - may well get it wrong.
But the aggregate wisdom of a large-enough group of diverse individuals will almost certainly get it right. In short, if enough of us think it makes sense, it probably does".
How many people have signed the parking charges petition?
