Sir, –I really enjoyed reading the new edition of the History of the Richmond Georgian Theatre Royal. This historical booklet is excellent value for the low price of £3.50, and is readily obtainable from the theatre itself and the theatre museum in Friars Wynd.

The only disappointing factor I find about this booklet is no mention about our local Richmond Operatic Society and Richmond Amateur Dramatic Society, which both contribute a lot by giving Richmond some realistic and very interesting local live theatre entertainment.

It would be lovely if a future Georgian Theatre Royal booklet included a photograph of each local amateur society performing some scene out of a production actually on the theatre stage.
