IT is going to be a busy summer for Cressida Fordy, from Northallerton Bowling Club, who not only takes on the role of lady captain at the club, but also the role of Yorkshire Ladies’ junior bowls development officer.
Cressida plays in the club’s Darlington & District and JSW League teams, as well as playing in Yorkshire teams alongside her 18-year-old daughter, Amica.
"I can’t wait for the outdoor season to start and I’m really looking forward to welcoming people to the club at its open day on Saturday, April 23 between 10am and 1pm," she said. "Bowls is a great sport for all generations to take part in and I encourage anyone to come and try it. Our club is like a green oasis, situated close to the centre of Northallerton just 150 metres from the High Street on South Parade."
