TOTESPORT betXtra Day at Ripon tomorrow starts at 2.20pm, with five of the afternoon's scheduled seven races supported by totesport.
The highlights of the programme include The totesport betXtra Handicap Stakes, a £20,000 contest for stayers over two miles, and The totescoop6 Handicap Stakes for three-year-old sprinters over six furlongs.
Sprinters are also in the spotlight in The Stowe Family Law Handicap Stakes over five furlongs.
Wetherby's annual family day Sunday meeting takes place this weekend, featuring plenty of action on and off the track.
The day includes a host of family attractions in the course enclosure, along with the Mascot Gold Cup, organised by the Young Farmers' Clubs of Yorkshire in aid of various charities, particularly Sue Ryder Care.
The meeting, along with that at Ludlow on the same afternoon, officially begins the 2008-09 season over jumps.
The gates open at 11.50am, and accompanied children aged under 16 will be admitted free into all enclosures.
The seven-race programme is held on the hurdles course and begins at 2.20pm. The feature race is the Minster Jaguar Harrogate Handicap Hurdle, while other highlights include the Coral North Wins With The Yorkshire Post Hurdle and the Cadale Lady Riders' Handicap Hurdle over two miles.
The Mascot Gold Cup will take place over the final furlong of the track in front of the grandstands after the opening race.
Redcar's second meeting of the season has a seven-race programme scheduled to begin at 2.30pm on Thursday. It features a qualifying race in the Boddingtons Redcar Straight- Mile Championship Series, which culminates in a £30,000 final on Saturday, October 4.
InBev of Castle Eden supports the series, which offers total prize money in excess of £100,000.
